Links to great writers and resources...really anything I find worth sharing.

Zombies Need Brains, LLC. - Writer/Editor Joshua Palmatier puts together some great anthologies that include some fantastic, well-known authors, but he always reserves plenty of slots for open submission. Go check out what's in the works and submit...or pick up a copy of the latest book. You won't be disappointed.

Lamplight - QUARTERLY MAGAZINE OF DARK FICTION - A literary magazine of dark fiction, both short stories and flash fiction. For inspiration, they suggest “The Twilight Zone,” “The Outer Limits,” and LampLight, Vol1 Issue 1 which is free.

Worldbuilders - "Worldbuilders is a charity founded by author Pat Rothfuss in order to use the collective power of readers, fellow authors and book lovers to make the world a better place." The main fundraiser runs from early November to mid-December each year, and besides the ability to win great prizes from your favorite authors, the money goes to three great causes: Heifer International, Mercy Corps, and First Book. So if it's that time of year, visit the site and donate...and if it isn't check it out anyway and add it to your favorites.

Heroic Fantasy Quarterly - "Prose. Poetry. Pulp.  Heroic Fantasy Quarterly is an ezine dedicated to publishing short works of heroic fantasy. More than that, through both prose and poetry we hope to hearken back to an older age of storytelling — an age when a story well told enthralled audiences. Traits of great oral storytelling survive the ages to influence treasures of literature, the pulps, radio plays, late-night game sessions, and now Heroic Fantasy Quarterly.
Our favorite storytellers, a few ancient and a few not, deliver action, reaction, and repercussion — and rarely divulge the thought processes that guide a character. These storytellers know that sometimes an audience just wants to see what happens next, that sometimes it’s more interesting to watch a person open a box than to hear about why he or she decided to open it in the first place."

Chris Kennedy Publishing  - Chris is a retired Navy pilot (try not to hold that against him) who's spent the last few years figuring out how to make a small press successful. He won't tell you it's easy, but if your interested in small press work, he's the guy you want to catch on a panel at a convention. Chris Kennedy Publishing currently has five active imprints–one for Military Science Fiction (Theogony Books), one for Fantasy (New Mythology Press), one for Young Adult (Anticipation Press), one for Post-Apocalyptic/Zombie/Horror (Blood Moon Press), and one for the Four Horsemen Universe (Seventh Seal Press).

Mothership Zeta - Mothership Zeta is a digital magazine from Escape Artists Inc, featuring fun new fiction, plus some favorite stories from the podcasts. Editor Mur Lafferty, Assistant Editor: Fiction Sunil Patel, and Assistant Editor: Nonfiction Karen Bovenmyer produce issues crammed with the best, most fun speculative fiction four times a year.  Rates: Short stories up to 6000 words – $.06/word.
